Does any one know if there is a version of print driver for the 73xx-series of color WorkCentres that is higher than 1.1.7? I'm having some issues printing from Macs with O/S 10.6 using either 1.1.6 (from the web) or 1.1.7 (from XDSS SPARs website). With 1.1.6 there is a problem printing from any of the Adobe suite of products, especially Acrobat (need to go under the 'Advanced' button and select 'Print as image' (extremely slow) and with either.6 or.7 trying to use accounting. Most of the time accounting doesn't even show in the pulldown on a 10.6 system - on one system we loaded the MAC print driver about 6-times and finally accounting was available, any ideas?
I am attempting to set up Mac's to operate a WC 7328. The older Mac's are using OSX 10.4.11 and the newer are using 10.5.8 soon to be 10.6. There will probably be a few Windows XP, Vista or 7's on the network also although I don't expect problems with the window based drives. I set up the first Mac (OSX 10.4.11) using the driver 1.1.6 and it was able to print letter pdf's except it could not auto detect tabloid sheets in the paper tray and could not see all four trays, just three, and was missing most of the print configuration features, staple, hole punch, etc. I never was able to get it to print tabloid size sheets. The 7328 has 1.221.5 firmware now and I see the most recent is 1.227.4. I see from this thread Fabio recommends driver 1.2.0 for 10.6.
Should I update the Firmware to 1.227.4 and will driver 1.2.0 be compatible with both OSX 10.4 and 10.6. And the new firmware? Dont expect backwards compatibility problems when you upload a new firmware! Also i think that the 1.2.0 drivers are mac 10.4 compatible, i see in the rls notes that they are. If you see some grey options in the driver, then you most probably didnt install the extra features. If you go to the system preferences, and you go to the properties of the xerox printer, there is a tab where you define installed options, you have to setup there the kind of device you have for example you can enable there, extra trays, finisher, memory, fax.

Fabio, thanks so much for the help. Everything is working perfect the first time with the first mac on 10.4 using the newer 1.2.0 created March 2010. It works with all applications including Adobe Acrobat professional. It prints all sizes from all trays and it staples and punches holes and seems to have all features working. I didn't have any problems and didn't upgrade the firmware yet. I wonder if this version of 1.2.0 is going to work with the 10.6 machines.?
I would expect it to work.? Now for the firmware upgrade. I'll let you know if causes any problems. Note: Before loading the driver, I did down load a 30 page 2/2007 document from Xerox web site called, 'Printer Drivers Guide, Release 7.2', and followed the directions to properly clean out all the previous files from the previous older drivers. There were about 30 files to delete from the Utilities folder.
