Zebra Tlp 2824 Plus Driver For Mac

So you want to be a sysadmin? Official IRC Channel - #reddit-sysadmin on Official Discord -. I've been pounding my head against the wall for this for a while now, since I'm in a new position and I don't have much experience with printers.

I have several Zebra TLP 2824 printers that have been set up locally on several Citrix boxes (Presentation Server 4.5). The printers have to be installed locally on the Citrix servers to support printing from some special applications.

A while ago these printers stopped working for some reason on one of the Citrix machines. The print configuration between this broken box and the working Citrix box appears identical, and they both can communicate with the Printer's IP.

However, the working box prints labels just fine, while the broken box prints some garbage. Event Viewer shows print jobs going out identically on both machines. I've tried reinstalling the driver on the broken machine, restarting print services, etc. What else could I start to look at here? It seems like networking isn't a component of the problem, but I don't know enough about print services on Windows 2003 (or in general) to pick this apart or know where to look next.

Edit: Thank you so much! I'm pretty sure I'll be trying out everything here today. My sympathies. Check print preferences, make sure that page size is correct.

I've had the best luck with using 'user defined' as the label size. Problem is that this setting seems to be user specific, iirc. When you say that they're printing garbage, is it that it's coming out as heiroglyphics, or are things cut off? If it's Egyptian, dunno what to tell you, but if it's cut off, or spitting out blank labels in between what you expect, label size is a good bet.

Also, make sure that the version of drivers on the Citrix server match the version on the clients. I've been through some of this shit with Zebra printers on TS - it's rough to find the right settings.

I am an EXPERT on zebra printers. Not really, but i have spent A LOT of time with them. The way i have had to get them to work is to use the citrix print driver on the citrix server.

Then use the latest print driver on the host and then have citrix map the printer. You then need to open the printer defaults and create a stock (for me/my company, we use the 1.12x3.5).

Then make that stock the default stock and adjust orientation as required. From there, you need to open notepad locally.

Type something simple ( i use 'This is a TEST!' ) and then say print.

Select the zebra printer and check the preferences. From here make sure you specify the stock you created. Then apply, then cancel.

Then go to page setup. It SHOULD be the proper page size for the media loaded in the printer. If not, adjust the page size and the margins.

I tell you this worked for me multiple times but these things are a BITCH. If you need more help, shoot me a PM and i can go over it with you if you like. Good luck (you will need it). I would stay with Zebra drivers fella, and I think there are some things to look at: these printers are fickle beasts.

Make sure you have the correct baud rate for commincation. I take it you can go into the print server and re-set the printers network? Also make sure bi-directional printing is enabled on the crtix server it is installed on.

I say this since we used about 10 Zebras for order processing labels and when the damm thing crashes sometimes i need to recreate the printer on the machine and make sure the driver settings match with the print server. I don't want to confuse you, but make check: bidirectional settings ip address matches printer port reset the printer from web base control 192.168.x.x.
