Swimming This Morning For Mac

Click to expand. That would offer some improvement over it just recording no activity, but I doubt it would recognise it as standing. Also, swimming could only fall under 'other', which I believe Apple say is the equivalent of a brisk walk - calorie calculations would presumably be quite a way off. I'm guessing the watch would still have to be in range all the time too. It does seem quite an oversight really, which makes me assume that either they're not addressing it to avoid drawing attention to the watch's limitations or that they have full waterproofing and swim/watersports tracking down for gen 2. Rats, I just discovered that Apple did not give us any way to manually add a workout to the activity app. I did my first swim this morning since I got the watch, and I was expecting to manually enter it, like I can do with any other tracker tool.

But, as best as I can tell, there is no way to manually enter a workout. I love the rings. But without the ability to manually enter some workouts, I will never fill the rings on swim days. Until this enhancement arrives, my $50 Fitbit Zip is actually a better fitness tracking device and interface than the AW. WOS 2 cannot get here soon enough. Bump Just wondering with Watch OS 3 out now and the new AW with waterproofing etc. Is there a way now to add manual activities?

Eg I play soccer 2-3x a week. I'm not about to bring my AW2 SS to the pitch, I used to wear my Fitbit for that. Is there a way to log the activity? With the Fitbit HR for a whole season I'd burn between 500-600 calories per 60min session.

I'd put that down as roughly what I'm doing now. I tried the UnderArmour app but the interface is poor and it didn't integrate well with activity. I use myfitnesspal but logging activities there doesn't translate over to activity rings. I use HeartWatch but I still need to log the activity as I'm doing it (as far as I'm aware). Surely I'm not the only one with this issue. Bump Just wondering with Watch OS 3 out now and the new AW with waterproofing etc. Is there a way now to add manual activities?
