The kind of stuff you expect to see on puzzles boxes or in home-making magazines. I particularly enjoy the Border Button which makes all non-border pieces vanish until you call them back. My rating is based on the smaller puzzles.

The 200+ piece puzzles, especially the ones that require rotating, have some issues in my opinion. First the pieces are crazy small and the magnify function isn't very useful. Second the pieces don't appear as if they would fit, often I have to go by color or pattern and I'm more of a shape finder. (Decades of puzzling from boxes; I'm rather new to digital format.) I'd knock the score down a star if I cared for the larger puzzles but the 50-150 are the only ones I'm after and there are plenty. Those deserve 5 stars in my opinion.

Holiday Jigsaw Halloween 2 is a great puzzle game: I enjoy figuring out jigsaw puzzles much more in my computer than in my home on a table because there's no forcing of pieces 'Hmmm does this piece fit here? I can't tell because it came out of the box bumpy'. Also, there are no lost pieces here:D In this game, you know right away when each piece is placed correctly because there's a light whoosh sound when contact is right. The background music is relaxing, pretty in a mildly haunting way but not scary-haunting.

This game is similar to the first version but there are many more puzzle choices in this one-there are thirteen pages including a lot of photos under each of five categories. The topic names are:- Costumes, Treats, Decorations, Family, Autumn. My only disappointment is that there are not enough dark pictures for my liking-considering the theme-but I'm still rating this game 5 stars because a ghost image of each selection is available, there's a magnifying glass, border-pieces at start if desired, sorting button, hint-help as many times as you want it.and you get to choose puzzle cuts style, number of pieces from 12 to 330.and most importantyou click yes or no for pieces rotated or not. It's much more challenging if they all arrive rotated at beginning of picture-solving but that choice is up to you each time. Overall, this game is well made for beginner or advanced enjoyment and it puts you right into the pre-Halloween hype mood.

Rated 4 out of 5 by pennmom36 from Spooky Good Jigsaws Another year gone by and once again we get a decent Halloween themed jigsaw puzzle game. I wasn't over the top thrilled with the pictured offered this go round but it's a great way to kick off the Holidays. There are five categories and each one has 100 puzzles available, Costumes (mostly adult costumes) Treats (Halloween goodies) Decorations, Family and Autumn. The same options are available as usual, you can choose to hang a picture of the puzzle as well as the size of the picture, or you can ghost the image onto the background, you can use the sort button, and border only feature. You can click and drag any piece into the box on the top left corner to make extra room (a single click will reveal all the pieces placed in the box) There is also a Hint button, a Magnifying glass and background color choices in blue, green, pink or gray. The feature I use the most is the Modify button which allows you to choose the cut (shape) and the amount of pieces and whether the pieces can be rotated for a bit more challenge, on ANY of the puzzles offered.

Kind of spooky letters? A spooky looking pumpkin??? That's as spooky as these pictures get in this awful selection.

There are 13 pages per section. Sections include 'treat' (food), 'family' (family pictures), 'trick' (children and adults smiling in their costumes), 'autumn' (pictures of what this DEV perceives as Autumn pictures') and I can't remember the other. Probably 'nauseatingly sweet' or something. That's right, it was about decor and THAT wasn't spooky either.

You can modify the pieces to bend and change shape up to +100 (whatever that means). I went all the way to +100 and there was the barest minimum of change in the shape of each piece. You can also change the number of pieces up to 330. Now, that WOULD be a challenge. If I could find ONE picture I wanted to work on. You can also choose to have to 'rotate' the pieces. I want my Halloween jigsaw puzzles, especially if there a purported 500 to choose from, to include sappy, sweet, scary, HOWLING, even some Samhaim (from where it originated).

What I DON'T want is the same saccharin sweet (toooo sweet) picture after picture after picture. As usual, the inside of the 'box' is not what is portrayed on the 'outside'. The DEV does a whole series of these types of puzzles. All of them misleading by name and picture on the game. Get inside and it's all boring drivel.

I LOVE jigsaw puzzles. But, I want to be interested in what I am doing.

If there isn't at least a handle of pictures in 500 to interest me. Then it's just not worth my time or money. Not a purchase for me, nor will I recommend a game that has such a misleading photo of what it truly has to offer.
