No Input/output From Usb Device On Fl Studio 20 For Mac
I purchased an M-Track about 2 and a half months ago and had some problems getting the drivers to work. I would get horrible crackling audio from the computer but the microphone line in worked fine and the monitor function had no distortion. I ran the unit without the M-Audio ASIO driver for some time until I needed to install it to get my latency down for audio work.
After some fiddling and switching to random different USB ports it finally worked (Don't ask me what made it work because I have no idea). It worked fine this way for about 2 months until a few days ago I started getting that audio distortion in the line out from the computer, but like the first time this happened the line in from the microphone worked fine. Restarting my computer seemed to solve the issue but I'd have to do this a few times a day. After 3 days of this happening I got frustrated enough to uninstall the ASIO driver and it worked great for a day, no problems until today. When I got on the computer and tried to do a skype call It said that there was a recording device error. Sure enough using the M-Audio input caused every application I tried it on to either crash or it just refused to select that device.
I reinstalled the ASIO driver and now programs will select the device but there's no sound whatsoever from the microphone input to the computer but if I use the monitor mix I can hear that the microphone is working fine. What's more is that I have sound through the unit from my computer and that works fine. SO to sum up since this is a long one: I can hear sound from my computer through the unit to my headphones I can hear the microphone input through the input monitor on the unit The unit is not sending audio from the microphone to the computer The 48v is on.
The Microphone/Guitar selector is in the Microphone position. The Mono/Stereo selector is in the Mono position. I am using Mic Input 1 on the unit. I am running Windows 7 64 bit. I am running an Asus P9X79LE motherboard and I have the M-Track plugged into a USB 2.0 port. USB 3.0 ports reliably cause audio distortion from the computer through this unit. The USB controllers on my motherboard are: Intel(R) C600/X79 series chipset USB2 Enhanced Host Controller ASMedia XHCI 1.0 Controller (This is the USB 3.0 controller if I'm not mistaken) Sorry for the long post but I wanted to give as many details as I could think of.

I need this working yesterday, heh. Hello Zack, Thanks for the detailed post! You've covered a lot of the major troubleshooting. The best next step would be to test on another computer, Mac OS X or Windows 7. If the same thing happened elsewhere, with or without ASIO drivers, then we'd conclude the problem is within the M-Track itself. Windows has so many ways to cause conflicts with USB devices (more so than Mac), so it would help to isolate the source better first.

Other USB related factors: -Try a new USB cable (6ft or shorter) -Remove other USB devices to test -Remove any USB hubs/adapters if in use Let me know how it goes!
